About Hammond’s Gourmet Ice Cream

Although our super premium Tropical Dreams Ice Cream is made in Hawaii, everything else about us is all local. Our three owners are North Park residents. We’re located in the heart of North Park in a refurbished 1938 building with plenty of neighborhood charm.

And we care about our environment, both here and in Hawaii. All our Hawaiian ingredients come from an environmentally friendly farm and locally-owned dairies. When you visit our University Avenue shop, you’ll find a community table made from a recycled fallen eucalyptus tree found in North Park and a custom made chandelier made from repurposed sundae cups.

Founded in 2009, Thumbprint Gallery curates monthly exhibitions featuring emerging, mid-career, and established artists with a focus on urban art and pop surrealism. The gallery seeks to provide an engaging atmosphere to view art by bringing people together in appreciation and support of local, national, and international artists.
