There is often a classic, nostalgic and dynamic translation to Black & White photography. It doesn’t attract with its play of colors. Black & White has an important tradition of luminous, well-crafted and thoughtfully composed imagery. It poses unique challenges without color to guide the eye. Contrast, lighting, and composition take on even more importance.
